1. Membership & Fees

1.1 All members must complete a membership form and pay the applicable membership fee before participating in any class.

1.2 Membership fees, grading fees, and training fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

1.3 Fees must be paid in full by the due date to maintain membership and grading eligibility.

2.Cancelling Your Child’s Membership

2.1 If your child decides to stop training with us, we just ask for one month’s notice in writing (email or letter is fine). This gives us time to update our records and manage class spaces.

2.2 Fees for that final month will still be due, and membership will end at the close of the notice period.

3. Training & Conduct

3.1 Members must arrive on time for training sessions and be ready in full karate gi and belt.

3.2 Respect towards instructors, fellow students, and visitors is expected at all times.

3.3 The dojo must be kept clean and safe; members must follow all instructions regarding equipment use and hygiene.

3.4 No jewellery or sharp objects should be worn during training to avoid injury.

4. Safety & Medical

4.1 Members train at their own risk.

4.2 Any medical condition or injury that may affect training must be declared to the instructor before participating.

4.3 The club is not liable for any injury sustained during training, competitions, or events, except where required by law.

4.4 First aid will be provided when necessary, but members are responsible for seeking further medical care if advised.

5. Licence

5.1 All members must hold valid a valid KUGB Licence in order to proceed with a grading.

5.2 Proof of insurance may be requested at any time.

6. Gradings & Competitions

6.1 Gradings are held at the instructor’s discretion and require a minimum attendance and skill level.

6.2 Participation in competitions or external events must be approved by the Chief Instructor.

7. Photography & Media

7.1 The club may take photographs or videos during classes and events for promotional purposes.

7.2 Members who do not wish to appear in photographs must select this upon booking or contact: zanshinkarateni@gmail.com.

8. Termination of Membership

8.1 The club reserves the right to terminate membership for breach of these terms, misconduct, or unsafe behaviour.

8.2 Members may resign by cancelling their subscription.

By signing the membership form and/or attending training, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
